Yesterday was an exciting day at Red Oak Grove – it was day camp time!
Seventeen children and youth came to church with bagged lunches and loads of energy to run off. We played games, ran water relay races, tie-dyed, ate fun snacks, and dipped our feet in paint to create a banner for our worship space.
Our theme for the day was feet. We talked about Joshua from the Old Testament. He is called by God to lead the Israelites through the wilderness after Moses has died. In the beginning, Joshua just isn’t so sure he can do it. God tells him, “Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” [Joshua 1:9] God is with us every step we take!
