Dear Members of the Body of Christ,
It has already been a year since we began our partnership as two churches working both together and separately as the kingdom of God in our communities and world. This past year has brought some changes alongside many joys. As a community we found ways and times to faithfully worship at Christmas and Easter that wasn’t exactly like always, still our churches were filled with joy and worship. We successfully switched worship times and will do it again come the end of this year. We celebrated Lenten meals together, each meal having over 40 people in attendance. We have held events for our youth together at holidays where the kids made new friends and learned about Jesus. All things we will continue. We have watched both congregations have more people in worship and more ministries being added to our communities. These things are all because of your hope and faithful witness to the Holy Spirit moving in our churches. For all the hard work of ministry you have put in, thank you!
I also wanted to personally say thank you for your continued stewardship and giving to the church. Your time, talents, and treasures are always appreciated. Your giving of financial support allow our churches to stay on top of usual bills, pay our staff, support the younger members of our congregation, keep up with regular maintenance, purchase worship materials, and so much more. Your giving of time to be ushers, council members, quilters, Sunday School teachers and everything else you volunteer for keeps us going. Your commitment to sharing your talents brings new ideas and continuing traditions that allow our ministries to grow. For all of these things thank you! Thank you for your continued support and sharing of your gifts as we carry on our partnership as Red Oak Grove and Community Lutheran Church. You are so greatly appreciated.
With God’s Grace and Peace,
Pastor Leandra Anderson
